Who am I? Now that is a good
one. I will let you know when I figure it out for myself. After
22 years of homeschooling that may take me awhile.
I can start with a
few facts. I am married to David and have been for 28
years. I have four grown (well almost grown) children. None of
which attended school until they entered college.
Jeremy is 26 years
old and now married with two daughters. He is a software engineer for an electronics
corporation. .

Michelle with her
favorite professor at I.V.C.C. after
her
graduation ceremony from Jr. College
Michelle is 24 and a senior at Augustana College in Rock Island
Illinois. Yes, we miss her a lot but she is living in a
transitional apartment and comes home on weekends. She is a
music major in piano performance. So far so good, she has a
perfect 4.0 for all her college years. Michelle will get her bachelors
in the spring and then transfer to Northern Illinois University to
work on her master and then her doctorate in music performance.
She wants to teach music at the college level.
Joshua is 21 years old and a
sophomore at Illinois Valley Community College in Ogelsby
Illinois. He will graduate with an associates in Arts and Science
in May 2006 He is a music performance major in trumpet and guitar.
He plans to transfer to Northern Illinois University for this Masters
degree. He is the one that is the most like his dad and enjoys working
on things with his hands. He is also a great student with a 4.0.
He lover performing at our local Accoustic Cafe in Princeton. He
has put together a small quartet that performs at the cafe.
Their barbershop quartet. Matthew far left, Delle (also a
homeschooled college student), Joshua then Paul.

Matthew is 18 years old and
a freshman at Illinois Valley Community College in Ogelsby Illinois.
Also a 4.0 student. He is an art major and plans to go to
transfer to the Academy of Art in Florence Italy He loves
animals and volunteers in the wildlife rescue center at the college.
Matthew also plays the piano and performs in Joshua's quartet.
He plays the piano for The United Methodist Church in Malden,
IL. Matthew wants to be a professional portrait artist and maybe
minor in music.

when she was younger. He drew it from an old photo.

Then there are
the only two who care enough to stay home with me all day. Pepsi and
Olivia. I
actually think Michelle got these dogs so I wouldn't be so lonely when
she left for college. It didn't work as well as she thought. I
still cried for days after she left. I only have to dogs looking
at me like I was nuts.

Pepsi loves fishing on the boat.

Olivia
Olivia our all-American dog.
Although, more of a pain that anything,
we also have a few kittens and cats outside. A least they are suppose
to be outside???????
Now I guess I should tell you more about me. I have been a speaker at
homeschooling conventions for the past 10 years. I really enjoy
helping moms. We had a book and software business but chose to
let that go. It was too time consuming and I would rather just speak
at conventions. I do curriculum counseling via phone and at my
home. I do workshops on everything from
teaching literature to getting into college and doing the paperwork
for entrance.I have been a homeschool advocate since 1997. I am
the director of Home Education Issues for Illinois Eagle Forum.
I have been on TV, radio and in newspapers and magazines discussing
homeschooling laws, issues, and legal battles. I have spent many a
days campaigning for candidates for various offices. I was involved in
writing and setting up the HomeSchoolers 4 Bush campaigns.
I designed this site to be
a one stop place were moms can ask questions and get the help they
need to succeed and feel good about themselves. I hope I have
been able to do that for you.
Now that I am finished
homeschooling. My goal is to make it through my children's
college days alive. They keep me busier now than ever before.
I decided I would need
something to do with my time. So, after having such great
success with T-Tapp. I decided to become a trainer and help
other women reach their health goals.

I
now teach women the T-Tapp exercise program and God Made Man Made
nutritional progran. I think I finally found something I love
almost as much as being a wife and mother. I am the drill
captain of a group of over 100 ladies on the T-Tapp internet forum
"Habit formers". It started as one lady asking me to make
her accountable to me. Now there are over 100 ladies that
exercise everyday and eat right. They report to me on a daily
basis on the forum.
I am now involved with T-Tapp
promoting it to doctors so they can prescribe it for their patients
and get insurance reimbursement. I have also written a curriculum called
Simply PE It is for the kids as-well-as the
mothers. In states where parents can deduct their
educational expenses or get reimbursed for their expenses this program
would count for P.E. Mom can get fit, Kid's can have a P.E.
class and it is a win/win for all.
Quick update: Since all our kids have grown up, Carol is now
teaching at PE at a private school grades K-12.
